Polishing Treatment for Plastic Molds

As winter approaches and temperatures gradually drop, a cold chill envelops the earth. While ensuring personal warmth, it is essential to perform winter maintenance on the injection molding machine. When the indoor temperature falls below zero, precautions should be taken to prevent components from freezing, avoiding unnecessary economic losses and ensuring safe production.
On the injection molding machine, the main cooling components include: oil temperature cooling system, mold cooling system, material barrel discharge port cooling system, water quality filter, various water drains, etc. (specific equipment may vary).
After winter shutdown, when the indoor temperature is too low, anti-freeze treatment is required for all cooling components on the injection molding machine. The specific anti-freeze maintenance measures are as follows:
★ 01
First, shut down the cooling tower, water pump, chiller, and mold cooling system, cutting off the water supply for the injection molding machine and auxiliary equipment.
★ 02
At the rear of the injection molding machine, remove the main cooling water outlet pipe and drain the water from the pipe.
★ 03
After shutting off the water supply, remove the inlet and outlet joints, drain the water from the cooling components, and use high-pressure air to blow out any remaining water inside the cooling components to prevent rust or oxidation.
★ 04
When using the injection molding machine again, reinstall the inlet and outlet joints for each cooling component, and pay attention to cleaning the filter on the oil cooler inlet pipe.
Turn off the water inlet, open the drain valve, collect the water in a container, and drain the water from the external oil cooler.
Remove the water inlet pipe (temporarily leave the return pipe), use compressed air to blow air from the water inlet until no water flows out of the drain.
Close the water inlet, remove the inlet and outlet pipes, and drain the water from the internal oil cooler.
Use compressed air to blow air from either the inlet or outlet until no water flows out from the other end.
Close the water inlet, remove the inlet and outlet pipes, and drain the water from the cooler.
Use compressed air to blow air from the outlet (top) until no water flows out of the water inlet.
Close the water inlet, remove the return pipe, and drain the water from the pipes.
Close the main water inlet, remove all outlet pipes.
Turn both rows of knobs clockwise to loosen completely and drain the water from the flow meter.
Close the water inlet, for vertically placed water drains, open the top and bottom inlet and outlet ball valves to drain the water from the water drain.
For horizontally placed water drains, open all inlet and outlet ball valves.
Close the water inlet, disconnect the inlet and outlet pipes.
Rotate the transparent casing of the water quality filter counterclockwise and empty the water from inside the casing.
Close the water inlet, disconnect the inlet and outlet pipes, and drain the water from inside the water-cooled variable frequency drive.
Use high-pressure air to blow air from either the inlet or outlet until there is no water flow from the other.
